San Antonio Regional Hospital Physicians Donate to
Local Food Bank in Honor of Nurses on COVID Front Line

August 26, 2021, UPLAND, CA –

The nursing staff at San Antonio Regional Hospital has been working tirelessly alongside the hospital’s cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons over the last year caring for COVID-19 patients.

Cardiologists on staff at San Antonio wanted to show their appreciation to these frontline nursing heroes.  The cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons made a $2,000 donation to the City of Rancho Cucamonga food bank in honor of their nursing colleagues.  The cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons sent this letter of thanks:  “To the nursing staff:  Thank you for your extraordinary commitment, dedication, and hard work in 2020. Words cannot express how much it is appreciated by the patients, their families, and the physicians.”

The City of Rancho Cucamonga food bank plans to use the donation to provide meals for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.  Local families will be able to pick up a box filled with canned items, dinner rolls, pies, drinks, and a grocery gift card that can be used to purchase a turkey.
