At San Antonio Regional Hospital, at this time, limited testing for coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, may be available to those with mild to moderate respiratory illness who are over age 65 and have a history of lung, heart, liver, or kidney disease, or who are immunocompromised. Testing requires a physician’s order.
Whether you have been tested for COVID-19 or not, the recommendations are the same. Stay home and isolate during your illness. Only leave your home to: 1) seek medical care, 2) pick up groceries, or 3) go to the pharmacy. Your visitors should be limited, and you should maintain a six foot distance between yourself and others whenever possible. Finally, frequent hand washing and cleaning surfaces in your home are highly recommended.
Any further questions or concerns should be directed to your family doctor. Additional helpful information on COVID-19 can be found on the Centers for Disease Control website,
