These evidence-based designations are the only awards that identify the country’s best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider both clinical excellence and female patient satisfaction.

San Antonio Regional Hospital is one of America’s Best Hospital for Cancer Care as determined by the Women Certified organization. Receiving the 2021 Women’s Choice Award® means that San Antonio is among the top 8% of 4,542 of hospitals in the national accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer. This designation also requires high recommendation ratings for patient satisfaction from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The award methodology includes clinical performance among hospitals with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hospice services, and/or major research programs.
