These evidence-based designations are the only awards that identify the country’s best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider both clinical excellence and female patient satisfaction.

San Antonio Regional Hospital was named a recipient of the 2021 Women’s Choice Award®, as one of America’s Best Stroke Centers. This recognition means that the hospital is in the top 9% of the 4,542 U.S. hospitals offering stroke care services. To achieve this distinction, San Antonio met stringent clinical criteria such as mortality rates and readmission rates, as well as patient satisfaction scores that exceed the national average.
