• Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

  • Information regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is being updated frequently. Please check back for additional information as it becomes available.

Here is some important information for San Antonio Regional Hospital patients and visitors:

    Hospital Visitors

Due to COVID-19 precautions, no visitors are permitted in the adult inpatient units. Restricting visitation will help to protect our patients, their families, and our healthcare team.  However, telephone and video calls to our patients are welcomed and encouraged.

Limited exceptions to the no visitation policy may be approved for patients in the following areas; however, only one (1) visitor per patient will be permitted:
    • Labor and Delivery/Maternity
    • Pediatrics
    • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
    • Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU)

Please note: if a visitor is being considered due to one of the exceptions noted above, he or she will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms prior to being approved for visitation.

We understand the concerns you may have about visiting your loved ones while they are hospitalized, but we believe restricting visitors at this time is necessary. We appreciate your understanding as we take proactive precautions to protect our patients, our healthcare team, and the communities we serve.

    Emergency Patients

    • Patients will be screened at the entrance to San Antonio Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department.
    • If you have a cough, are short of breath, or have a fever, you must put on a mask.
    • Only one (1) visitor will be permitted with the patient in the Emergency Department Lobby or in the emergency treatment area.

    Urgent Care Patients

Due to COVID-19 precautions, if you seek medical attention at a San Antonio Regional Hospital Urgent Care and you have a fever and respiratory symptoms, you will need to call the Urgent Care office once you arrive at the facility.  Below are the urgent care phone numbers to call before entering the urgent care:

    • Fontana location:  909.434.1150

Due to COVID-19 precautions, only patients receiving services are permitted. One caregiver is permitted during non-surgical outpatient procedures when the patient is a minor or requires special assistance provided by the caregiver.
