  • William G. Loudon, M.D. PhD.
    Medical Director
    Dr. William G. Loudon did his undergraduate training at the University of California at San Diego where he majored in biochemistry and cell biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston and his Ph.D. in cancer biology from the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He completed a student fellowship at the Experimental Neurology Branch of the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, and performed his general neurosurgical residency at the Medical College of Virginia. He pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at Massey Cancer Institute/Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Loudon completed his pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, California. He completed Gamma Knife training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which is the birthplace of Gamma Knife treatment in America. Dr. Loudon has extensive experience in Gamma Knife techniques with expertise in brain tumors in both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Loudon has been published in numerous medical journals for his specialization in brain tumors and cancer cell biology.

    Jose Rodriguez, M.D.

    Dr. Jose Rodriquez earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine College of Medicine. He completed a medical externship at the Institute of Neurology, National Hospital of Nervous Diseases in London. Dr. Rodriguez completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, Irvine. He performed his general surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine, as well as his neurological surgery residency. Dr. Rodriquez is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada Board. He was board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons in 1992. Dr. Rodriquez was Gamma Knife trained and certified in 2008.

    Dr. Lew Disney received his Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics at McMaster University, where he also completed his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Disney earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Surgery at the University of Alberta. He completed his neurosurgical residency and was certified in neurosurgery in 1991. Dr. Disney is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada Board. He was Gamma Knife trained and certified in 2008.

    Ramin AmirNovin, M.D.

    Dr. Ramin AmirNovin graduated from the University of California, San Diego as a chemistry and biochemistry double major. He received his M.D. with honors from New York University Medical School. Dr. AmirNovin completed his general surgery and neurological surgery training at Harvard Hospital of Massachusetts General Hospital, where he also completed two years of specialty training in Functional/Stereotactic Neurosurgery. Dr. AmirNovin’s areas of expertise include brain tumors, movement disorders, pain syndromes, and epilepsy.

    Han Joo Kim, M.D.

    Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from Kyungpook University Medical School in Korea. He completed his radiation oncology training at Loyola University/V.A. Hines Program in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Kim completed his radiation oncology residency at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St Louis, Missouri. He was Gamma Knife trained and certified at the Cleveland Clinic in 2008.

    Sri G. Gorty, M.D.

    Dr. Gorty received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) in 1996. He completed his Radiation Oncology residency at State University of New York Upstate in Syracuse, New York, with experience in the Gamma Knife in 2001. He completed Gamma Knife training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Gorty has extensive experience with brain tumors and other cancers, in both pediatric and adult patients.

    Ali H. Mesiwala, M.D.

    Dr. Mesiwala received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical and Electrical engineering at Johns Hopkins University and his Medical Degree at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Washington. Dr. Mesiwala was a registrar in the National Health Service in neurosurgery at the Atkinson Morley’s Hospital in London, U.K. In addition to treating general neurosurgical and spine problems, Dr. Mesiwala specializes in the treatment of complex brain tumors, skull base lesions, pituitary tumors, and vascular abnormalities.

    Krupali K. Tejura, M.D.

    Dr. Tejura received her Bachelor of Arts in both Biology and Sociology from University of Southern California. She received her medical degree at University of California at Los Angeles, where she was awarded a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her training in Radiation Oncology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Michelle Nordman, RN, BSN
    Neuro Nevigator
    Michelle Nordman assists physicians in caring for and supporting the patient from initial pre-operative work, through surgery and follow-up care. This includes educating patients and their families about what to expect before, during, and after treatment. The nurse navigator will also follow up with all patients post-surgery to make sure recovery is on track, and to answer any questions that may arise. The nurse navigator’s role is to make sure the patient has the best clinical care possible when undergoing a Gamma Knife procedure at our center.

    San Antonio Regional Hospital is dedicated to ensuring a smooth process for patients and for those physicians referring to the Southern California Regional Gamma Knife Center at San Antonio. Heather is a resource specialist who can provide information about San Antonio's Gamma Knife services and capabilities to physicians and their office staff. She is also available as a patient liaison and contact throughout the treatment experience, and can provide an individualized treatment program to include transportation and pre & post procedure administrative assistance.
