Rehabilitation Services

San Antonio Regional Hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy to patients of all ages and diagnoses. Rehabilitation can often be a challenge, not only to the body as it repairs itself, but also to the human spirit. We understand your hurdles and we are here to offer treatment, guidance, education, and support.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Our highly trained therapists and specialized equipment allow us to successfully help patients of all ages recover from a variety of conditions including sports injury, orthopedic surgery, a debilitating illness, spinal cord or brain injury, work injury, or stroke.

San Antonio's Rehab team has immense experience working with various members of the community, including the Ontario Reign professional hockey team as well as local and international athletes.

Services include:

  • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy with nationally recognized board certifications
  • Hand therapy and custom splints by a nationally certified hand therapist
  • Sports and "return to play" rehabilitation
  • Vestibular rehabilitation program focusing on balance, dizziness, etc.
  • Neurological rehabilitation (i.e., CVA, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease)
  • Cognitive, speech, and swallowing rehabilitation
  • Post-amputee rehabilitation
  • Industrial program (i.e., pre-work screens, functional capacity evaluations)
  • Lymphedema rehabilitation treatment (i.e., post mastectomy)
  • Pediatric and developmental occupational and speech therapy
  • Wound care (i.e., negative pressure wound therapy, compression wraps, and debridement)
  • ACL and PCL KT-2000 testing for knee ligament laxity
  • Post-rehabilitative athletic and fitness program
