Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU)
(For Outpatient Surgery)
San Antonio Regional Hospital's Ambulatory Care Unit is an outpatient unit designed for those who do not require admission for their procedures and tests.
We provide a variety of services:
- Same day surgery admission and discharge
- Outpatient IV infusions
- Blood transfusion
- Same day admission for surgical patients
- Radiology admission and discharge (certain procedures ex. angiogram, lung biopsy)
- Cardiac catheterization admission and discharge
The ACU is staffed with a team of trained nurses and technicians who are dedicated to providing the utmost comfort and care to our patients.
For the convenience of your family members or friends who accompany you, a waiting room is located outside of the unit. A cafeteria is also available in the hospital for meals and refreshments.
