Physicians who meet the eligibility criteria may participate in San Antonio Regional Hospital’s EMR Donation and Interface Program. The EMR Donation Program is designed to assist members of the hospital’s Medical Staff who have not yet purchased an electronic medical record system for their office. The Interface Program is available to physicians who would like to have their laboratory and radiology results sent directly into their office EMR system.

EMR Donation Policy

 Physicians who are on staff at San Antonio Regional Hospital and do not have an existing EMR system or a signed contract with an EMR vendor may be eligible for the hospital’s EMR Donation Program.

Interface Policy

Physicians who have implemented EMR systems capable of receiving HL7 messages may be eligible to participate in San Antonio Regional Hospital’s Interface Program. This program provides a unidirectional interface between the hospital’s EMR system and the EMR systems in physician offices in our community, which enables the transmission of laboratory and radiology results directly into the physician’s existing EMR system.
