Become A Volunteer

Due to COVID-19, only college and adult volunteers under the age of 65 may volunteer.

Established in 1924, our volunteer program is an important part of the hospital's heritage. Volunteers work in a variety of ways to achieve their mission, which is "to render service to the hospital and its patients, and assist the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community."

Currently, 500 active volunteers working in 64 areas of the hospital and off-site locations have donated more than 608,682 hours of their time. Our volunteers have raised over $2.5 million for the hospital.

Volunteers serve in most areas in the hospital.

Examples of potential volunteer opportunities include:

  • Assistance at special events
  • Blood drives
  • Clerical reception and nursing staff support
  • Gift shop sales
  • Main lobby reception
  • Support for surgical patients and their families
You may contact a representative weekdays, from 8 am to 4 pm, by calling 909.920.4917.
