At SARH, our HEDI Council serves as the central hub for all health equity, inclusion, and diversity efforts. Every voice matters and every patient is valued. At SARH’s core, we believe that healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, or any other defining factor. Our Council is dedicated to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout our institution, ensuring that every individual receives the highest quality care tailored to their unique needs. By actively promoting awareness, education, and advocacy, we strive to eliminate disparities in healthcare and create a welcoming environment where everyone feels respected and empowered. Join us on our journey towards a healthier, more equitable future for all.
Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) serves as a vital bridge between SARH, community members, public health, and local organizations, working tirelessly to advance health equity and foster inclusive practices.
Under the guidance of two executive sponsors – a Board member and the CEO – our council is committed to supporting SARH's strategic initiatives aimed at achieving health equity, fostering inclusion, and eliminating biases based on race and gender.
The CAC convenes bi-monthly and on special occasions, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leader for HEDI. Co-facilitated by the AVP of Population Health and the Population Health Coordinator, our quarterly reports inform the Board of Directors Planning Committee.
Join us as we strive for a healthier, more equitable future for all at SARH.
