Karla has been a valued member of San Antonio’s telemetry team for the last 25 years. She began on 3DOU, transferred to 3VT, and now continues to give excellent care to patients in the Observation Unit. Known for treating every patient like family, Karla’s compassion recently inspired a touching nomination from one of her patients. “I want to thank Karla for being a kind and caring CNA. I’m a person of few friends and no immediate family. Karla noticed that I received no visitors. When I explained my situation, Karla took it upon herself to stop by and check on me for a few moments each day. To a person in my situation, that simple act of mercy means so much, especially when facing medical issues all alone. I can never show enough gratitude, but I hope this letter reaches her.
