Support Resources for Patients with Cancer

 

The Cancer Center at San Antonio Regional Hospital extends support to anyone who may be experiencing a cancer diagnosis. Our support groups provide an environment for attendees to share their experiences, learn from each other, and offer and receive support.

Educational classes and support groups provide emotional support, help to build positive attitudes, enhance the ability to deal and cope with health issues in a constructive way, and promote healthy lifestyles.

All classes and support groups are held in person at the Volunteer Community Room in the Scheu Family Building located at 1100 San Bernardino Road, Second Floor, Upland, California 91786, and virtual via Zoom.

Orientation for the Newly Diagnosed

This educational class is designed to help you and your family gain a better understanding of cancer and chemotherapy. It is for men and women with any cancer type and will be individualized for your needs.

Physical Fitness


Pilates for Cancer Health

Exercise is an important part of maintaining a healthy mind and body. This class provides a safe environment for patients with cancer to continue to participate in exercise.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Provides a safe, supportive environment in which women with breast cancer can share their personal experiences and exchange thoughts and feelings with each other.

Cancer Support Group

A cancer diagnosis provokes many emotions. This support group provides a safe space for both men and women with any type of cancer to work through their feelings and the emotional challenges a cancer diagnosis brings.

Nutrition Counseling

Keep yourself healthy while undergoing cancer treatment with a one-on-one counseling session with a registered dietitian. Learn ways to help maintain a healthy body weight and about the nutrition needed for your body to sustain strength and promote recovery.
