LEAF Award – December 2025

Alexandra (Lexy) has been a certified nursing assistant with San Antonio for the past year and is already a tremendous asset to our hospital. She was nominated by a patient who shared the following experience: “I suffered a massive heart attack, and it was an extremely trying time for me, but Lexy played an important role in easing my fear through her love, empathy, and focus. She was consistently warm, compassionate, and quick to respond whenever I needed assistance--never once making me feel like an inconvenience.  Her calm, positive presence made a tremendous difference in my emotional well-being after my heart attack. When I was discharged, she wheeled me out with that same warm spirit of caring.  We hugged, and she wished me the very best. That final moment summed up her extraordinary care--sincere, loving, and truly from the heart. She transformed my hospital experience in a profound way.”
